“ALVORECER”
A place to revive and relax in Nature.Alvorecer (Quinta do Loureiro) is a magnific place for those who want to revive and relax in nature.
Since May of this year it opened and will be operating all the year round, offering a number of alternative activities of well-being and personal growth.
Located on the outskirts of the ancient village of Avô, this energetic place has a spectacular view over forests, mountains, rivers and valleys.
Placed in a mountainous zone, with 7500m2, it faces Serra de Açor and is near Serra da Estrela.
Alvorecer´s purpose is the growth of the human-being in all aspects, mainly through physical detoxification and also through other activities that may, in some way, mean individual or groupal advancement.
Surrounding walks are organized, visiting various locations, such as river beaches (most of them along the shores of Rio Alva), footing and other events.

This place was created as a sequence of the work of the manager, Maria Fernanda Jorge, 60 years of age, graduated in Chinese Traditional Medicine by the “Associação Portuguesa de Acupunctura” and Naturology by “Escola Superior de Biologia e Saúde de Lisboa”. This specialist took advantage of her experience of life, becoming responsible for her own health and of her children, as an inspiration model for her present work.
“My therapeutical preference is really to treat from basis, at cellular level, as then there is no doubt that our health improves, that is, we become less ill, less poisoned. That is what I pratise on myself and my family and, of course, on some patients, the most demanding ones. Without hurry, I would like to contribute to the expansion of this type of therapy, to a greater number of people.”
Additionally, she says that besides living in a family and friendly atmosphere, this place could be used as different holidays, each person enjoying various treatments and activities, depending on their own choices or requirements.
Alvorecer has capacity for 12 persons, three single rooms, three double and one triple room; space for the various treatments; a covered swimming pool and jacuzzi; a room for treatments equipped with hydrocolon and equipment for organic detoxification; various equipments, as electrical stimulators and laser therapy, for accupuncture purposes; an open space for the practice of meditation or physical exercise.
There is also the possibility of disposing the installations to other therapists or groups who wish to use them at alternative dates.
Complete detoxification programme
Alvorecer has a complete detoxification programme for blood and tissues which rejuvenates each and all the organs, glands, tissues and cells of the human body. As for example, programmes for 2 weeks treatment, being 7 days of fasting, colon cleanse and release of toxins, an integrated system of purification which joins the benefits of fasting to the hydrocolon therapy and nutritional supplements, such as, argil, psillium seeds, greenmagma, clorela, multivitamines, among others. The remaining days will be of adaptation and integration to the normal diet.
There are also alternative treatments, such as, Chi Kung (promoves vitality and prolongs life, including some basic exercises to capture energy and meditation), Ion Cleanse (detoxification system through the feet) and Chinese Traditional Medicine (energetic balance of the human-being, including the accupuncture and the phytotherapy.
Vegetarian food:
Being vegetarian, Maria Fernanda transmits to her clients the taste for the vegetarianism, offering them a rich menu of natural and healthy food. To provide all this, vegetables are planted in biological form, treating the fruit trees without fertilizers or pesticides and adorning the space with beautiful flowers turning it into a paradisiac scenery.
